Auction and Wine Tasting

November 4th is just around the corner and that is the day of our 7th annual Auction with lots of
great wine to taste and hors d'oeuvres to try. It will be at the historic Ashland Armory again this
year. There will be both the silent auction and a live auctioneer to get things rolling.
Once again we are asking for those of you who can help make this a success. We will need some
volunteers to help with the set-up, but more importantly we need people who are willing to donate
some time, expertise, a vacation home, a service, or other items to be auctioned at this event.
It was great fun last year and we hope to make it even better this year with your help and
participation.

Since 1964 MARA's mission has been to provide top quality ski racing instruction at an affordable cost.
With the help of many community members,MARA continues to accomplish this goal 40 years later.
Our enrollment of more than 160 skiers, from Grants Pass to Northern California, makes us one of the
largest ski clubs in the Pacific Northwest region. Consistently our kids compete on a local, regional
and Junior Olympic level. Tuition and race fees cover 65% of the costs of providing this program.
The remaining funds needed to continue this program in 2006 come from this event.
