The Raffle continues to be an integral part of MARA fundraising. Every athlete has been required to sell 10 tickets. We then held a competition to see which athlete sold the most tickets. The prize was an iPod. We’ve raffled many things, but none have been as successful as the iPad.
Starting 2011, the game has changed. As in years past, each athlete is required to sell 10 tickets. We are also planning on raffling a top of the line iPad again. The difference? No more iPod contest. Instead, every ticket your athlete sells beyond ten will reduce their fees by $10. Sell 30 extra tickets, their fee is reduced by $300! That’s a 100% return once your athlete has met their minimum sale of 10 tickets.
